How do I pay my Diners Club® balance?

Outstanding balances should be settled in full by the 'Payment Due By' date on your statement.  You can pay:

  • By cheque, through the post.

    Cheques need to be made payable to Diners Club UK, and the name of the main card account holder’s name included on the same line.

    Example: John Smith, Diners Club UK

    Please complete the Bank Giro Credit and return it, together with your cheque, in the envelope received with your statement marked: Diners Club UK, Payment Processing Centre, Milton Keynes, London, MK77 1ES
    Please ensure that your full Diners Club Card Account Number is written on the back of the cheque or postal order

  • At any bank

    Please complete and detach the Bank Giro Credit slip on your statement and hand it, together with your cheque made payable to Diners Club UK (with your full name written on the same line) or cash, to your own bank branch. Payment may also be made at any branch in the UK which will accept payment, however an administrative charge may be made. Please ensure that your full Card number is written on the reverse of the cheque.

    Please allow at least 5 working days for your payment to reach us via the post or bank.

    To pay more than one account with a single cheque please return all Bank Giro Credit slips indicating the amount to be paid on each and quote all Card numbers on the reverse of your cheque.

  • Bank Transfer via your Bank Branch, Telephone Banking or Internet Banking.

  • Alternatively, you can ask Diners Club to set up an automatic Direct Debit from a nominated bank account. Please download under the Online Services section.


How long do I have to pay my balance?

The total balance on the monthly statement must be paid within 30 days of the date of the statement.

What happens if I do not pay my Diners Club balance on time?

If you do not pay the balance on your account within 30 days then you will have to pay Diners Club's service charges monthly in addition to the total balance outstanding until you have fully repaid the amount due on your account.  A service charge of 3.5% of the outstanding balance will be charged on the balance and will be charged every 30 days after until full settlement of the total amount outstanding (including charges) is received.

Your right to use the card may, in the meantime, be restricted on occasions or you may lose the right completely.

How do I set up Direct Debit?

Diners Club realise that our customers are busy people with little time to worry about paying bills so there is an option to pay by Direct Debit from a nominated account.  To set this up, please call the Customer Service Centre on 0870 1900 011, Ireland:0818 300 026 and request a direct debit mandate.  Once completed, simply return it to Diners Club for processing.
